Cryolipolysis (coolsculpting)

What is Cryolipolysis:

Cryolipolysis is the most effective technique for non-invasive reduction of body fat. It involves the removal of fat cells by means of their action at a low temperature (around -8 ° C). This treatment causes a significant and permanent loss of subcutaneous fat tissue. Many years of medical examinations on this subject have proven that fat cells are much more susceptible to low temperatures than other cells in the human body. As a result of cooling a given body part, subcutaneous fat cells break down and then are excreted from the body in the natural metabolic process. Cryolipolysis has no negative effect on other tissues, such as nerves, skin or muscles.

Mechanism of the cryolipolysis treatment:

The head to which the skin with fat tissue is sucked provides the optimal amount of cold energy to bring about local reduction of body fat and thus to shape the contours of the body. The area undergoing treatment is cooled in such a way that it acts deeply on the subcutaneous adipose tissue without damaging other tissues, while protecting the skin surface against frostbite. The system maintains a constant target temperature selected individually for each client during the procedure.

At this time, fat cells are cooled and die, followed by a period of their removal from the body through the lymphatic system.

Step 1: Appropriate application of the applicator in a specific treatment area. The beginning of the cooling process until the desired temperature is reached.

Step 2: Fat cells in the treatment area. They begin to react to the effects of cold.

Step 3: After cryolipolysis, fat cells achieve biological death and are removed in the metabolic process.

Step 4: Fat cells in the treated area are eliminated.

What can you expect immediately after the treatment?

After the cryolipolysis treatment, the skin in the treatment area will be red and sensory restriction may occur. There may also be a slight feeling of pain similar to the one we feel after coming from the cold to a warm room, which disappears in a few minutes. In the following days, redness disappears and tenderness may appear, which disappears in the following days.

The effects of the treatment:

Very important after cryolipolysis is your patience. The process of expelling fat cells from the body takes about 6 to 8 weeks, sometimes up to 12. This is the time necessary to obtain the final result after the procedure. One treatment usually causes the loss of about 20 to 40% of the fat layer.

Note: data on percentage fat loss come from cryolipolysis tests given by many sources available on the Internet, EDIT Beauty Salon can not guarantee the effects of the treatment).

Are the obtained treatment effects permanent?

Frozen fat cells are not regenerated and are 100% eliminated from the body. However, the patient has to control his weight with proper nutrition and sufficient amount movement or exercise, otherwise new fat areas will probably be created.

Indications for the procedure:

Procedure before the treatment:

The cryolipolysis treatment does not require special preparation.

We recommend that you drink a minimum of 2 liters of water 24 hours before the procedure.

What does the whole procedure look like and how long does it take?

The whole procedure takes just over 1 hour. Each treatment is preceded by a consultation during which we select the appropriate treatment parameters. Then we proceed to the treatment. Because the machine we have is very efficient and allows you to quickly cool the tissue to the desired temperature and we can use two heads simultaneously in different places, the cooling process itself takes about 45 minutes (regardless of whether we want to have  1 or 2 areas treated at the same time). During the treatment, you can focus on rest, using our Wi-fi, listening to music, or talking to the cosmetologist. After the treatment is finished, the head is removed and the skin is briefly massaged into the post-treatment area, after which the patient can return to his further activities.

What does the skin look like after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, redness and bruising may appear. In exceptional cases, the sensation may also briefly decrease in the area of the treated skin. In the treatment area, a small hematoma may appear which will be absorbed within a few days. After the procedure you can return to normal activity, because you do not feel any discomfort and the treatment does not require convalescence.

Recommended after the treatment:

After the cryolipolysis treatment, alcohol should not be consumed for about 48 hours (it will be an additional burden on the liver and kidneys). However, the amount of drinkable water should be significantly increased. Starting the process of reducing fat cells requires an efficient filtration process. A properly hydrated body metabolizes fat much more quickly and quickly. Up to 24 hours after the treatment, eat light food.

How many treatments will be needed and how often repeat it:

Depending on the effect you want to achieve, the condition of your skin and body fat and other individual predispositions usually from 1 to 3 treatments for the same place is sufficient, at intervals of about 8 weeks - if the procedure is to be performed in the same area.
